Burner Fan Blower Wheel | Squirrel Cage | Air Ring
Diesel-fired, hot water pressure washers require an accurate ratio of fuel to air in order for the fuel to ignite and burn correctly. The burner assembly includes parts required to move the fuel, including the fuel pump, fuel solenoid, tubing and the burner fuel nozzle. Air is handled by a fan, and the intake vents on the air ring, or blower wheel force a draft through the air tube, allowing for proper ignition of the diesel fuel. A damaged blower wheel, commonly called a squirrel cage, will no longer be balanced, and can cause damage to other burner components, as well as prohibiting the diesel to ignite correctly.
